"Sensei Candy Karate Kids" Scholarship program

At Sensei Candy Karate Self Defense School, we believe that everyone has the right to feel safe and confident in any situation. Our expert instructors teach a range of self defense techniques, from basic to advanced, that will equip you with the skills you need to protect yourself and your loved ones. Join our community today and discover the power of self defense!

Mandatory reporter like teachers, medical personnel, law enforcement or supervisors can reach out to us and refer any student for free Karate tuition for any reason.  Maybe the kiddos needs a activity, needs to build social skills, has a disability or disturbance, needs discipline or just needs a place to call home, send them our way. No student will be turned away for inability to pay. Students on scholarship program will receive free or reduced tuition and fundraising will be done for things like uniforms and equipment.  Sponsorship kiddos will get the same opportunity as others and will get everything they need for training when they need it.

In return the "Sensei Candy Karate Kids " will learn about and represent a kiddo who left us too soon. They will honor that kiddo and sign a contract promising to give back to the community and make sure the memory of the kiddo they represent stays Alive.  The Sponsorship kiddo is not allowed to have any infractions in or outside of dojo. 

Scholarship Students are also required to have community service and volunteer hours. We provide those opportunities to the students or their outside efforts are acceptable as well. Many of our scholarship students end up helping certain causes for many years.  Even after they have stopped training.  

We also support the scholarship students families.  They can reach out with needs to our karate family and we all work together to make things possible.  We want the entire family to benefit from our training and influence by leading by good example. 

To sustain our scholarships, we run fundraising efforts year-round. Currently, we are engaged in three projects:

* **Enchilada Plate Sales** – homemade meals that raise funds for scholarships and outreach. Plates for Amarillo peeps and Trays for Dumas and Dalhart.

***Car wash Sunday September 28th at Twins 707 E Amarillo Blvd

***Pancake breakfast with ninjas Dumas First Presbyterian Church Dumas October 4th.


Every dollar raised goes right back into helping children train, travel, and participate in events that build both skill and character. Beyond the dojo, our students also volunteer, serve, and fundraise for other causes in the community—because we believe kids who learn to give back will grow into adults who care deeply about others.
